Ami ‑ AI Shopping Agent vs AMP: FAQ Page & Help Center HQfor Shopify (2026)
Ami ‑ AI Shopping Agent and AMP: FAQ Page & Help Center HQ represent fundamentally different approaches to customer support and sales enablement on a Shopify store. Ami aims to proactively answer product-specific questions using AI to drive conversions directly on product pages. Its target audience is merchants looking to reduce pre-sale inquiries and boost sales through AI-powered engagement. In contrast, AMP: FAQ Page & Help Center HQ focuses on building a comprehensive and easily searchable FAQ page or help center. It targets merchants wanting to centralize customer support resources and reduce the volume of direct customer service requests. The core difference lies in their active vs. passive support strategies. Ami actively engages shoppers with AI-driven Q&A and product recommendations on product pages, requiring minimal manual setup. AMP provides a self-service help center where customers can find answers to common questions, offering tools to customize and gather feedback on the articles. The choice between the two depends heavily on whether a merchant prefers a proactive, AI-driven sales approach or a more traditional, self-service support system.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to actively increase sales by directly addressing product questions and providing recommendations, Ami ‑ AI Shopping Agent offers a compelling, albeit unproven (due to lack of reviews), solution. Its promise of effortless setup and AI-driven engagement could be particularly attractive. However, the lack of reviews is a significant risk.
If a merchant needs a robust, customizable, and easily searchable FAQ page or help center with proven customer satisfaction (as indicated by its perfect rating and positive reviews), AMP: FAQ Page & Help Center HQ is the more reliable choice. Its feedback collection feature is a significant advantage for improving help center content over time.
