Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a tried-and-tested solution with ample social proof, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer, given its substantial review count, is likely a safer bet. It implies a stable and reliable experience. However, merchants actively focused on increasing AOV through aggressive upsells, advanced customization, and features like multiple discount code entry should strongly consider AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer. The smaller number of reviews is a factor, but the clearly articulated focus on conversion and the inclusion of specific features designed for that purpose make it a compelling option for stores heavily focused on cart-level optimization. Newer merchants with less data to analyze may find AOV.ai's features more easily actionable.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a store just starting out?
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer might be a more stable choice initially due to its established user base, offering a reliable baseline slide-out cart functionality. As the store grows and collects more data, a move to AOV.ai can be considered.
Does either app mention integration with specific marketing tools?
Neither description explicitly mentions integrations with specific marketing tools like Klaviyo or Omnisend. Further investigation would be needed to determine compatibility.
Which app is easier to use for someone with no coding experience?
While both claim to be easy-to-use, AOV.ai's emphasis on customization might make it slightly more complex, although hopefully well-documented. Both should ideally offer drag-and-drop interfaces or similar user-friendly customization options, but the degree of customization is higher in AOV.ai so slightly harder to implement.
Which app is more likely to impact page load speed?
Without performance data, it's impossible to say definitively. However, more feature-rich apps (like AOV.ai with its cart upsells and customizations) *could* potentially have a greater impact on page load speed if not properly optimized. It is best to test on dev environment.
Which app offers a free trial or free plan?
The provided data doesn't include information about free trials or plans. This would require further investigation on the Shopify App Store.
