AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs C Builder | Checkout Upsells!for Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and C Builder | Checkout Upsells! are both Shopify apps with perfect 5/5 ratings, but cater to vastly different merchant segments and offer contrasting functionalities. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer (with 489 reviews) is likely a more broadly applicable app that enhances the customer's shopping experience through a customizable slide cart drawer, facilitating easier cart management and potentially boosting conversions. C Builder | Checkout Upsells! (with only 9 reviews) is explicitly designed for Shopify Plus merchants and focuses on deep customization of the checkout process using Shopify Checkout Extensibility. C Builder | Checkout Upsells! empowers Plus merchants to add upsells, cross-sells, trust badges, and dynamic content to the checkout flow without code. This level of customization allows for creating highly optimized checkout experiences tailored to specific customer segments or product types. While both fall under the 'Checkout' and 'Upsell and cross-sell' categories, AMP focuses on cart-level improvements, while C Builder provides advanced checkout customization exclusive to Plus merchants. The drastic difference in review count hints at a much broader appeal and potentially simpler functionality for AMP, versus the niche but powerful capabilities of C Builder for high-volume Plus stores.

Our Verdict
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants who aren't on the Plus plan, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is the only viable option between these two apps. It offers a straightforward way to enhance the shopping experience and potentially improve conversions by streamlining the cart process. C Builder | Checkout Upsells! is exclusively for Shopify Plus merchants looking to deeply customize their checkout flow. Its features are much more advanced and focused on increasing AOV and optimizing conversions through personalized checkout experiences.
While both have excellent ratings, the number of reviews highlights that AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely a more broadly applicable solution, whereas C Builder is a niche product for Plus stores with the resources and need for advanced checkout customization. Non-Plus merchants should not even consider C Builder given the enforced limitations.
