Our Verdict
If a merchant's primary goal is to directly address cart abandonment related to shipping costs, CBB Shipping Rates Calculator is the clear choice. Its focus on real-time rates, geolocation accuracy, and carrier integration directly targets this issue. The free shipping bar is an added bonus for incentivizing larger orders. It's better for merchants who've identified high shipping costs as a barrier to conversion.
On the other hand, If a merchant is looking for more general improvements to the cart experience and the user interface of the cart drawer itself is a major consideration, and they don't specifically have cart abandonment due to shipping, then AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer might be more suitable. The app's high rating suggests it delivers on its cart customization promise, but without knowing its specific features, it's difficult to provide a definitive recommendation. More information is needed on AMP's core functionality.
