AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and EZ Checkout Controller | Rules both aim to improve the Shopify checkout experience but cater to very different needs. Our Verdict
If a merchant is primarily focused on improving the visual appeal and user experience of their cart page, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely the better choice, as reflected by the significantly higher number of positive reviews, implying a generally simpler and more broadly useful solution. However, merchants dealing with specific business requirements like enforcing minimum order quantities, managing shipping restrictions, combating fraud, or requiring legal compliance (T&C) would find EZ Checkout Controller | Rules far more suitable, despite the smaller user base. Its rule-based engine provides the granular control necessary to tailor the checkout process to their precise needs.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's primary pain points: user experience vs. operational control. A merchant could even consider using both apps if they want to improve the UI and implement rules.
