AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs Keeper—Recover Abandoned Cartsfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and Keeper—Recover Abandoned Carts both operate within the Checkout and Cart Customization space on Shopify, but target fundamentally different needs. AMP focuses on enhancing the immediate shopping experience by providing a visually appealing and functional cart drawer, aiming to streamline the path to purchase and increase conversions directly on the site. Keeper, on the other hand, addresses the downstream problem of abandoned carts, employing recovery strategies to recapture potential sales that have already faltered. The key distinction lies in their approach: AMP is proactive, enhancing the cart experience to prevent abandonment, while Keeper is reactive, attempting to recover lost sales. AMP's high rating (5/5) and substantial number of reviews (489) suggest widespread user satisfaction with its cart drawer functionality. Keeper, with a lower rating (4.1/5) and fewer reviews (103), likely caters to merchants specifically struggling with significant cart abandonment rates and seeking a dedicated recovery solution. The choice between the two depends heavily on whether a merchant prioritizes optimizing the initial shopping experience or recovering lost revenue from already abandoned carts.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on optimizing the immediate shopping experience and improving on-site conversion rates, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely the better choice. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews suggest a well-received and effective solution for enhancing the cart drawer functionality. It is useful if your store has low abandonment rates to maintain the status quo.
However, if a merchant identifies high cart abandonment as a significant problem, Keeper—Recover Abandoned Carts offers a targeted solution. While its rating is slightly lower, it's designed specifically to address lost revenue through recovery efforts. If you can determine cart abandonment is costing you money, it's probably worth trying.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing overall conversion rates?
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely to have a more direct impact on overall conversion rates by improving the cart experience and streamlining the purchase process. Keeper addresses a secondary issue: those that did not initially convert.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the higher rating and focus on cart drawer enhancement, AMP is probably easier to set up since it's a simpler feature to understand. Keeper will need some initial setup for the recovery process. But this is just an assumption.
If I have a limited budget, which app should I prioritize?
This depends on your current needs. If your cart experience is poor and you suspect that is causing people not to buy, AMP is the better choice to immediately improve the customer journey. But if you know your current abandonment rate is costly and you cannot fix the cart drawer, Keeper might make more sense since you're directly addressing an existing problem.
Can these apps be used together?
Potentially, yes. AMP can improve the cart experience to prevent abandonment, while Keeper can be a safety net for those who still abandon their carts. There might be some overlap.
Which app provides more long-term value?
AMP offers long-term value by continuously improving the shopping experience, while Keeper provides ongoing value as long as cart abandonment remains an issue. AMP is likely to have a greater lasting impact on customer perception.
