AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs King Checkout Rulesfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and King Checkout Rules, while both sharing the 'Checkout' and 'Cart customization' categories on Shopify, cater to significantly different merchant needs. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer, backed by a substantial 489 reviews and a 5-star rating, likely focuses on enhancing the shopping experience through improved cart visibility and potentially a smoother path to checkout. It's more of a visual and usability upgrade for the existing checkout flow. King Checkout Rules, on the other hand, is geared towards merchants requiring a highly customizable and rules-driven checkout process. King Checkout Rules offers deep customization options for shipping and payment methods based on various conditions like cart contents, customer details, and location. While also boasting a 5-star rating, its significantly lower review count (6 reviews) suggests it's either a newer app or targets a more niche audience requiring advanced checkout control. This app targets merchants who need to restrict or prioritize specific payment/shipping methods to manage risks, optimize conversions, or meet unique business requirements. The rule-based engine is the primary differentiator.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants looking for a quick win to enhance the look and feel of their shopping cart drawer, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely the better choice. Its high number of positive reviews suggests it's a reliable and effective solution for its intended purpose. It seems a good fit for stores that need to streamline user experience.
However, for businesses with very specific checkout requirements – such as offering different payment options based on customer location, restricting shipping to PO boxes, or offering targeted shipping discounts – King Checkout Rules provides the necessary granular control. Its rule-based engine allows for highly customized checkout flows, albeit with a potentially steeper learning curve and a more complex setup. If conditional logic is critical to checkout success, King Checkout Rules is the app to consider.
