AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkboxfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, merchants choosing between AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox face fundamentally different value propositions, despite them both being listed under the 'Cart customization' category. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer focuses on enhancing the user experience within the cart itself, as indicated by its name. It boasts a very high rating with substantial reviews. Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox, on the other hand, centers around legal compliance and building trust, specifically in relation to GDPR and terms and conditions at the checkout. The primary difference lies in their functional focus: one optimizes the cart interface, while the other addresses legal and compliance requirements during checkout. A crucial point is that Nexa - Checkout T&C Checkbox is designed specifically for Shopify Plus stores. This severely limits the app's accessibility to the majority of Shopify merchants who are not on the Plus plan. Furthermore, the lack of reviews for Nexa - Checkout T&C Checkbox makes it difficult to assess its actual performance and reliability.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants not on the Plus plan, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is the only viable option. Its high rating and substantial review count suggest a reliable and effective solution for improving the cart experience. However, Shopify Plus merchants seeking a simple, no-code solution for adding a GDPR-compliant terms and conditions checkbox to their checkout flow *might* consider Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox, but should proceed with caution given the lack of reviews and inherent risks of using an untested app. Due diligence, testing in a staging environment, and contacting the developer are strongly recommended before implementing Nexa.
