AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs RuffRuff Selling Periodsfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and RuffRuff Selling Periods are both 5-star rated apps in the Shopify Checkout category, but they cater to drastically different needs. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer focuses on enhancing the shopping experience by providing a visually appealing and convenient slide-out cart. It likely focuses on increasing average order value and streamlining the purchase process. Its high review count (489) suggests a well-established user base and perceived reliability. RuffRuff Selling Periods, on the other hand, targets merchants who run pre-sales, limited-time promotions, or product launches. Its primary value proposition lies in controlling product availability based on defined sales periods and managing customer communication before, during, and after those periods. The app emphasizes no-code setup, integration with the Cart and Checkout Validation API, and the ability to prevent purchases outside of the designated timeframe. However, the very low number of reviews (2) suggests it may be a newer app, or niche in its appeal. The app is positioned as a solution for Japanese merchants.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants looking to improve the shopping experience and potentially increase average order value through a more streamlined and visually appealing cart, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely the better choice. Its significantly higher review count indicates a more established and reliable solution.
However, if a merchant specifically needs to manage product availability during pre-sales, limited-time promotions, or product launches, and wants to prevent orders from being placed outside of those designated periods, RuffRuff Selling Periods is the only app that delivers on this need. Even with the limited reviews it remains ideal for merchants running targeted sales and requires full control over product visibility, while not accepting off-period orders.
