AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs Shipfn: Hide shipping methodfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and Shipfn: Hide shipping method cater to distinct needs within the Shopify ecosystem, both relating to cart customization. AMP focuses on enhancing the *customer-facing* cart experience through a user-friendly slide-out cart, likely aimed at boosting conversions by simplifying the checkout process. Its perfect rating and substantial review count suggest widespread satisfaction with its performance and ease of use. Shipfn, conversely, addresses *back-end* shipping management by providing merchants the ability to selectively hide shipping methods based on complex, rule-based criteria. This is useful for complex shipping scenarios involving geographic restrictions, weight limitations, or cart value thresholds. However, its lack of reviews indicates it is a new app, limiting merchant confidence in its performance.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a better shopping experience and aiming to boost conversion rates through an intuitive slide-out cart, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is the clear choice given its proven track record and excellent reviews. Its simplicity makes it suitable for nearly all Shopify stores. However, for merchants grappling with intricate shipping scenarios, such as region-specific limitations, or weight-based delivery options, Shipfn: Hide shipping method offers a potentially powerful rule-based solution. The lack of user reviews does indicate a risk. Merchants with complex shipping needs that are comfortable experimenting may find this app useful, but should thoroughly test its configuration.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely easier due to its focus on visual cart customization. Shipfn, while claiming simplicity, involves defining potentially complex rules, which could require more configuration and testing.
Which app addresses conversion rate optimization more directly?
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer directly addresses conversion rates by providing a smooth and streamlined cart experience. By optimizing the checkout process, a slide-out cart encourages immediate purchases.
Can Shipfn handle free shipping thresholds?
Shipfn can likely handle free shipping thresholds by hiding paid shipping methods when the cart total meets or exceeds the set threshold. You'd define a rule where a condition is 'Cart total' and a condition option is 'greater than or equals'.
Does AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer affect shipping method visibility?
No, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is purely for customizing the appearance and interaction of the cart itself; it does not modify the shipping options displayed at checkout.
If I have both apps, could they conflict?
It is unlikely. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer adjusts the *presentation* of the cart. Shipfn handles the *visibility* of shipping methods. They operate in different areas of the checkout process. However, thorough testing is always recommended.
