Amphora | Pick, Pack and Ship vs Scan2Sellfor Shopify (2026)
Amphora | Pick, Pack and Ship and Scan2Sell target entirely different segments of the Shopify merchant ecosystem. Amphora focuses on providing a comprehensive, outsourced logistics solution, essentially operating as a 3PL service with its own proprietary inventory management and order fulfillment software (Atenea). They offer warehousing, order preparation, and real-time tracking with international presence. Their value proposition revolves around centralizing operations, improving control, enhancing customer experience, and enabling scalability through optimized costs. They are positioned for larger merchants looking to externalize their entire logistics chain. Scan2Sell, on the other hand, directly addresses the pain point of tedious product data entry for merchants with physical product inventories. It simplifies and accelerates the process of getting products online by using barcode scanning and mass upload capabilities. It also streamlines product description and image sourcing, allowing merchants to quickly populate their online stores. Their strength lies in speed and ease of use for digitizing product catalogs. Scan2Sell clearly targets merchants dealing with physical products, especially those managing large catalogues and multiple suppliers.

Our Verdict
The choice between Amphora | Pick, Pack and Ship and Scan2Sell depends entirely on the specific needs of the Shopify merchant. If a merchant is struggling with managing their own logistics operations (warehousing, fulfillment, shipping) and desires a fully managed solution with international capabilities, then Amphora is a potential fit, pending further validation of its reliability given the lack of reviews. However, if a merchant simply wants to quickly and easily get their existing physical products online, streamlining the product listing process with barcode scanning and automated image/description sourcing, then Scan2Sell is the better option. Given the current state of zero reviews for Amphora, Scan2Sell would be a more advisable choice for most merchants at this point in time due to its proven 5-star rating.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Scan2Sell is designed for ease of use, with its focus on rapid barcode scanning and streamlined product data entry. Amphora, while offering a potentially powerful solution, is likely more complex to set up and manage due to its comprehensive logistics focus.
Which app is better for scalability?
Amphora is specifically designed for scalability, offering a 3PL service with warehouse locations in multiple countries. Scan2Sell assists with the initial product listing process but doesn't directly address long-term scalability of the logistics operation itself.
Which app helps with inventory management?
Amphora has an integrated inventory management system through its Atenea suite. Scan2Sell focuses primarily on getting the products listed online initially, not the ongoing management of the inventory levels.
Which app is a better choice if I have a small number of products?
Scan2Sell could still be useful for a small number of products if you are dealing with physical stock and want a fast way to get them online. Amphora's comprehensive logistics solution might be overkill for a very small product range.
Does Scan2Sell help with shipping?
Scan2Sell does not directly address shipping. It focuses on the product listing process. Amphora, as a 3PL, handles the shipping aspect as part of its complete logistics solution.
