Ampify PWA: Mobile App Builder vs Cartly Abandoned Cart Recoveryfor Shopify (2026)
Ampify PWA: Mobile App Builder and Cartly Abandoned Cart Recovery cater to fundamentally different needs of Shopify merchants. Ampify PWA aims to create a Progressive Web App (PWA), essentially turning a Shopify store into a mobile-like experience without requiring users to download a traditional app. Its focus is on improving the mobile user experience and potentially increasing engagement through a faster, more accessible platform. Cartly Abandoned Cart Recovery, on the other hand, is laser-focused on recovering lost revenue from abandoned carts and checkouts. It achieves this through automated email marketing, web push notifications, and features like email pop-ups for subscription collection, discount codes via a spin wheel, and order follow-up emails. While both apps share the 'Web push' category, Cartly's implementation is specifically for abandoned cart recovery, while Ampify's usage is likely more general for notifications from the PWA.

Our Verdict
The choice between Ampify PWA and Cartly Abandoned Cart Recovery depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary goal is to enhance the mobile shopping experience and embrace PWA technology, Ampify PWA is the more suitable option. It's ideal for merchants who already have a handle on cart abandonment but want to improve mobile engagement.
However, if the merchant is struggling with significant abandoned cart rates and seeks an automated solution to recover lost revenue, Cartly Abandoned Cart Recovery is the clear winner. The significantly higher number of reviews for Cartly suggests broader adoption and potentially greater reliability in the specific area of abandoned cart recovery. For businesses with limited resources, focusing on Cartly's direct revenue recovery features might be the more pragmatic choice.
Common Questions
Does Ampify PWA help with abandoned cart recovery?
While Ampify PWA improves the overall mobile experience, it doesn't directly address abandoned cart recovery in the same targeted way as Cartly. It might indirectly reduce abandonment by providing a smoother mobile experience, but it lacks specific features for abandoned cart email or push notification campaigns.
Can Cartly create a mobile app for my Shopify store?
No, Cartly focuses solely on abandoned cart recovery and related email marketing features. It does not create a mobile app or Progressive Web App.
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, Cartly likely offers a simpler setup process due to its focus on automated email campaigns with pre-built templates. Ampify PWA may require more technical configuration to implement the PWA correctly.
Is Ampify PWA just for stores with high mobile traffic?
Ampify PWA can be beneficial for any Shopify store, but its value is maximized for stores with a significant portion of traffic coming from mobile devices. It aims to provide a faster, more app-like experience for those users.
What kind of ROI can I expect from each app?
Cartly's ROI is more directly measurable through the recovered revenue from abandoned carts. Ampify PWA's ROI is harder to quantify and depends on factors like increased mobile engagement, improved conversion rates, and customer retention. However, the higher volume of ratings for Cartly indicates it may provide a more readily identifiable return on investment.
