Amplius Customer Fields vs Singleton | Rich Registrationfor Shopify (2026)
Amplius Customer Fields and Singleton | Rich Registration are both Shopify apps designed to enhance customer registration and profile management, allowing merchants to collect additional customer data through custom fields. Amplius Customer Fields emphasizes data ownership and seamless integration with native metafields, aiming for easy data accessibility even after uninstalling the app. Its description highlights its suitability for personalizing customer experiences by collecting data like VAT/Tax ID, birthdays, and preferences. Singleton | Rich Registration, while having a slightly higher rating and more reviews, lacks a detailed feature list in the provided information. Thus, its strength lies in customer satisfaction, though the specific features contributing to this satisfaction are not explicitly stated. While both apps fall into the 'Accounts and login', 'Customer loyalty', and 'Customer loyalty - Other' categories, Amplius Customer Fields positions itself clearly around data ownership and seamless metafield integration. The lack of detailed information about Singleton | Rich Registration makes it difficult to fully assess its differentiators, but its higher rating and review count suggest a potentially superior user experience. Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants in 2026 who prioritize complete data ownership and the ability to directly manage customer information via native metafields, Amplius Customer Fields seems like the better option. Its clear emphasis on integrating with metafields and allowing customers to update their information is crucial for merchants who want to personalize the customer experience and retain their data even if they uninstall the app.
However, if a merchant primarily values a highly-rated registration experience and is less concerned about the specifics of data storage or field types (as long as it collects custom data), then Singleton | Rich Registration might be preferable due to its higher rating and a greater number of reviews suggesting better overall satisfaction. However, this recommendation comes with the caveat that its specific features are unknown based on the data provided, making it a riskier choice if certain functionalities are essential.
