Amplius Customer Fields vs Wishlist ‑ Wishifyfor Shopify (2026)
Amplius Customer Fields and Wishlist ‑ Wishify, while both falling under the 'Customer Loyalty' category on Shopify, address vastly different needs for merchants in 2026. Amplius Customer Fields focuses on enhancing customer data collection and personalization by allowing merchants to add custom fields to registration and account pages. This empowers businesses to gather specific information like VAT/Tax IDs, birthdays, or preferences, storing it directly in metafields for seamless integration with other apps and full data ownership. The app's value lies in its ability to deepen customer understanding and facilitate personalized experiences. In contrast, Wishlist ‑ Wishify centers around enabling customers to save and share their favorite products, boosting engagement and driving sales. This app provides features like shareable wishlists via social media and email, automated email reminders, and a streamlined add-to-cart process from the wishlist. It aims to convert browsing into buying by simplifying the purchase process and encouraging repeat visits. While both apps contribute to customer loyalty, they target different aspects: data enrichment versus purchase facilitation.

Common Questions

Amplius Customer Fields, by storing data directly in metafields and giving the merchant full data ownership, provides better control over customer data and facilitates GDPR compliance. You can easily access and manage customer data for deletion or modification requests. While Wishify doesn't explicitly mention data ownership, data handling practices should be verified with the app developer.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, both apps can be used simultaneously. Amplius Customer Fields enhances customer data collection, while Wishlist ‑ Wishify focuses on product saving and sharing. They address different aspects of the customer journey and do not conflict.
Which app is easier to set up and use?

Which app is more future-proof given the constant changes in e-commerce?
Amplius Customer Fields, by leveraging native Shopify metafields, is likely more future-proof as it relies on a core Shopify feature. This reduces the risk of compatibility issues with future Shopify updates. Wishlist - Wishify relies on its own proprietary system, so it will need to remain compatible with future Shopify API changes.
What are the limitations of Amplius Customer Fields considering it only has 13 reviews?
With only 13 reviews, Amplius Customer Fields lacks the extensive feedback of Wishlist ‑ Wishify. Potential limitations might include a smaller user community for support, fewer documented edge cases, and a potentially shorter track record of updates and improvements. Further investigation into the app developer's history and support resources is recommended.
