Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on collecting detailed customer information and personalizing experiences, Amplius Customer Fields is the better choice. Its tight integration with metafields ensures data ownership and avoids data lock-in. However, for businesses actively engaged in wholesale sales, Ymq B2B & Wholesale Solution is the more appropriate solution. Its comprehensive feature set specifically addresses the needs of wholesale operations, including pricing, customer segmentation, and order management. If you aren't selling wholesale, Ymq is irrelevant. If you don't need custom customer fields, Amplius isn't beneficial.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the core business model. If the priority is understanding and segmenting retail customers based on specific data points, Amplius is preferable. If the business is focused on B2B and wholesale transactions, Ymq is the stronger and more applicable option.
