ANG ‑ Photo Gallery vs Rubik Variant Images & Swatchfor Shopify (2026)
ANG ‑ Photo Gallery and Rubik Variant Images & Swatch both aim to enhance the visual appeal of Shopify stores, but they address different needs. ANG focuses on creating general-purpose photo galleries to showcase collections, offering customization options for layout, colors, and effects. Its key strength lies in building visually appealing and mobile-responsive galleries that can also tag products, aiming to boost sales through visual merchandising. It targets merchants who want visually rich galleries to tell a story or display products in a lifestyle context. Rubik, on the other hand, specializes in improving the product browsing experience by focusing on variant images. Rubik Variant Images & Swatch targets merchants selling products with multiple variants (e.g., colors, sizes). It excels at assigning multiple images to each variant and displaying only the relevant images when a variant is selected. This improves clarity and reduces returns by giving customers a precise visual representation of their selection. It also offers color swatches and image swatches to enhance the user interface of variant pickers. Rubik's AI-assisted image assignment and focus on variant-specific visuals differentiate it significantly from ANG, which has a broader gallery-building focus.
