Our Verdict
Magical Custom Fields & Upload appears to be the stronger choice for most merchants due to its proven track record (5/5 rating with 61 reviews) and feature set focused on product customization, upselling, and detailed order information. Its support for Shopify Plus checkout custom fields and CSV export are significant advantages. Anywhere Custom Forms might appeal to merchants needing a very basic, free form solution for general website data collection, but the lack of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and ease of use. However, the merchant should always check if the functionality needed is present on each app before deciding which one to try.
