AOV Bundles Volume Discounts vs Shipping Protection ‑ Navidiumfor Shopify (2026)
AOV Bundles Volume Discounts and Shipping Protection ‑ Navidium both aim to increase merchant revenue but through very different strategies. AOV Bundles focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) by enabling merchants to create and manage various types of product bundles and volume discounts, leveraging AI for recommendations and offering extensive customization. It targets merchants looking to proactively boost sales through strategic product pairings and incentivized purchasing. Shipping Protection ‑ Navidium, conversely, focuses on providing a self-managed shipping protection plan, allowing merchants to retain revenue from shipping protection fees and manage claims directly. Navidium caters to merchants seeking to offer shipping protection without relying on a third-party insurance provider, allowing them to keep the revenue generated from those protections. It essentially provides tools for merchants to manage their own shipping insurance program, offering features like a claims portal, refund/reorder processing, and integration with various other Shopify apps. The key distinction lies in whether the merchant wants to increase proactive sales through bundling (AOV Bundles) or manage shipping protection and claims themselves, retaining associated revenue (Navidium).

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on proactively increasing Average Order Value through strategic product bundling and dynamic discounts, AOV Bundles Volume Discounts is the clear winner. Its AI-powered recommendations and customizable bundle options provide a user-friendly way to incentivize larger purchases. It is especially valuable for stores with a diverse product catalog where strategic bundling can unlock hidden sales potential.
However, if a merchant prioritizes complete control over shipping protection fees and the claims process, Shipping Protection - Navidium is the better choice. It allows merchants to retain revenue that would otherwise go to an insurance provider, potentially leading to significant profit, albeit with the responsibility of managing claims. Navidium is suitable for merchants with sufficient resources to handle claims and a desire to build a self-funded shipping protection program.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?

Yes, both apps offer integrations. Navidium specifically mentions integrations with ReCharge, Rebuy, Bold, and other popular apps, while AOV Bundles highlights its ability to 'fit right into how your store sells,' implying broader compatibility.
Which app is better for a small store with limited resources?
AOV Bundles Volume Discounts is probably a better fit for a smaller store because it’s a 'set it and forget it' solution, whereas Shipping Protection ‑ Navidium requires more ongoing administration and claim management.
Which app provides more immediate profit?
Shipping Protection ‑ Navidium has the *potential* for more immediate profit if shipping protection fees outweigh claim costs. However, this is not guaranteed. AOV Bundles generates profit over time by increasing AOV on each sale.
