AOV & Cart Upsells ‑ LiftKit vs Mikawaya Subscriptionfor Shopify (2026)
AOV & Cart Upsells ‑ LiftKit and Mikawaya Subscription, while both listed under "Upsell and bundles - Other" Shopify category, serve fundamentally different purposes. It aims to achieve this by displaying related products using Amazon-style widgets and optimized add-to-cart interfaces. Conversely, Mikawaya Subscription is a Japanese subscription app designed for building and managing recurring revenue through subscription services. Its key strength lies in comprehensive subscription management features and dedicated support from experts in the Japanese recurring commerce market. LiftKit appears geared towards merchants looking for a straightforward solution to instantly increase AOV, while Mikawaya Subscription is tailored for businesses aiming to implement or optimize a robust subscription model, especially those targeting the Japanese market or requiring specialized support in recurring revenue management.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a quick and easy way to increase AOV through upsells and cross-sells, AOV & Cart Upsells - LiftKit might be a suitable starting point, assuming its functionality delivers on its promises. However, the lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice. Mikawaya Subscription is the clear choice for businesses prioritizing building a subscription model. Its high rating and numerous reviews indicate customer satisfaction, and the feature set is designed for comprehensive subscription management. The dedicated support from experts in the Japanese market is a significant advantage for businesses operating or planning to operate in that region.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's specific business goals. If the goal is to immediately increase AOV, LiftKit (with thorough testing) could be considered. If the goal is to build a recurring revenue stream through subscriptions, Mikawaya Subscription is the superior option, particularly for those seeking specialized subscription features and support, including support for the Japanese market.
