AOV & Cart Upsells ‑ LiftKit vs VQB: AI Product Quiz Builderfor Shopify (2026)
AOV & Cart Upsells ‑ LiftKit and VQB: AI Product Quiz Builder offer distinct approaches to boosting sales for Shopify merchants. LiftKit focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) through traditional upsell and cross-sell techniques on product and cart pages. Its core functionality revolves around showcasing related products in Amazon-style widgets to encourage customers to add more items to their cart. This is a direct, product-focused sales method. VQB, on the other hand, utilizes interactive product quizzes to engage customers, capture zero-party data, and provide personalized product recommendations. VQB's strength lies in its ability to personalize the shopping experience and gather valuable customer insights through quizzes. It provides tools to build these quizzes using AI assistance or a no-code editor with customization via CSS and JS and integrates with various marketing and analytics platforms like Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and Omnisend. Its quiz-based approach is intended to guide customers to relevant products while simultaneously segmenting them for targeted marketing campaigns. LiftKit’s value is in simple, fast implementation of proven upsell and cross sell approaches.

Our Verdict
If your primary goal is a quick and straightforward boost to AOV through direct upsells and cross-sells, AOV & Cart Upsells ‑ LiftKit might be a suitable choice, assuming it delivers on its promise despite the lack of reviews. However, given the lack of social proof (zero reviews) and the unknown support quality, caution is advised.
VQB: AI Product Quiz Builder is a better option for merchants who prioritize customer engagement, personalization, and data collection. The 5-star rating and 89 reviews suggest a positive user experience. The quiz-based approach, integrations, and customization options make it a more powerful tool for building targeted marketing campaigns and providing personalized product recommendations, especially if the merchant’s catalog is complex and requires guidance to customers.
