AOV.ai Post Purchase Upsell vs Payflow: COD & Payment Methodsfor Shopify (2026)
AOV.ai Post Purchase Upsell and Payflow: COD & Payment Methods, while both categorized under Shopify's Checkout, cater to distinct needs. AOV.ai focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) through post-purchase upsells and downsells offered on the thank you and order status pages. Its strength lies in its AI-powered templates, one-click upsells, personalized targeting, and ease of use with no coding skills required. This app primarily targets merchants looking to maximize revenue per order. Payflow, on the other hand, addresses payment and delivery optimization, specifically focusing on Cash on Delivery (COD) and customizing payment method visibility. It empowers merchants to offer COD with added fees and hide, rename, or reorder payment methods based on specified conditions, providing a streamlined checkout experience. Payflow is geared towards merchants seeking greater control over their payment and delivery options, especially those relying heavily on COD and wanting to reduce post-purchase order edits. While AOV.ai enhances revenue through upselling strategies, Payflow optimizes the checkout process, ensuring a seamless and efficient payment experience for customers, reducing potential friction.
