Apippa‑Custom Price Calculator vs Quotes Guru: RFQ & Hide Pricesfor Shopify (2026)
Apippa‑Custom Price Calculator and Quotes Guru: RFQ & Hide Prices both address pricing needs on Shopify, but cater to distinct business models. Apippa focuses on providing accurate, real-time pricing for made-to-order products based on complex calculations and customizable options. Its strength lies in dynamic price calculation using formulas linked to dimensions, quantities, and customer choices. It targets merchants selling highly customizable products, such as signage, blinds, or flooring, where pricing varies significantly depending on specifications. Quotes Guru, conversely, facilitates Request for Quote (RFQ) processes, enabling merchants to hide prices and solicit quotes from customers, particularly useful for B2B businesses or those selling complex or high-value items. Quotes Guru's strength lies in its RFQ functionality, custom form builder, and integration with quote management. While Apippa automates price generation based on pre-defined formulas, Quotes Guru emphasizes interaction and negotiation with customers, allowing for customized pricing strategies and relationship building. The customer facing experience is very different. One immediately knows the price, the other does not. The key differentiator is the need for instant pricing versus RFQ processes.

Our Verdict
If your business requires instant, accurate pricing based on complex configurations and options, Apippa‑Custom Price Calculator is the clear choice. It's ideal for merchants selling customizable products like blinds, flooring, or printing services, where customers need immediate cost estimates based on their selections. On the other hand, if your business model involves B2B sales, high-value items, or complex projects where pricing requires negotiation and customized quotes, Quotes Guru: RFQ & Hide Prices is the better option. It allows you to manage quote requests, build relationships with customers, and tailor pricing to specific requirements.
Ultimately, the choice depends on whether you need an automated pricing solution or a tool to facilitate the quote request process. Apippa offers immediate price transparency, while Quotes Guru emphasizes personalized interaction and flexible pricing strategies. For B2C sellers with standard product offerings, neither might be optimal, and another pricing or upselling app might be preferable.
