Appointment Booking App Apntly vs GIT Digital Downloads, E‑booksfor Shopify (2026)
Appointment Booking App Apntly and GIT Digital Downloads, E‑books, while both achieving a perfect 5/5 rating on the Shopify App Store, cater to entirely different merchant needs. Apntly focuses on enabling service-based businesses to efficiently manage appointments, bookings for events, and integrated scheduling with calendar and Zoom support. It boasts a substantial user base, reflected in its 1170 reviews, indicating wide adoption and likely, a more established feature set honed by user feedback. It’s clearly positioned as an all-in-one appointment scheduling solution. In contrast, GIT Digital Downloads is designed for merchants selling digital products like ebooks, music, videos, and software. Its strength lies in its automated file delivery and license key management capabilities, streamlining the digital product fulfillment process. While its perfect rating is promising, the low number of reviews (4) suggests it may be a newer app or caters to a smaller, more niche segment of digital product sellers. The value proposition centers on ease of management and seamless delivery for digital goods.

Our Verdict
The choice between Appointment Booking App Apntly and GIT Digital Downloads hinges entirely on the nature of the business. If you're offering services that require scheduling appointments, Apntly is the clear choice due to its comprehensive appointment booking features, team member support, and calendar integrations. Its high review count suggests a stable and widely adopted solution.
However, if you're selling digital products such as ebooks, software, or music, GIT Digital Downloads is the more appropriate app. It streamlines the process of delivering digital files and managing license keys, features absent in Apntly. While it has fewer reviews, its focus on digital product fulfillment makes it a specialized tool for this particular need. Merchants need to choose based on the type of product (service or digital good) they are selling.
Common Questions
Can Appointment Booking App Apntly be used to sell digital products?
While Apntly focuses on booking appointments for services, it could potentially be adapted to 'book' access to a digital product for a specific time, but it's not designed for direct digital product delivery and management. GIT Digital Downloads is far better suited for that.

Which app offers better customer support?
Based on the number of reviews, Appointment Booking App Apntly likely has a more established support infrastructure due to a larger user base. However, we do not have explicit information about the quality of support for either app.
Are either of these apps suitable for selling physical products?
GIT Digital Downloads is specifically designed for digital products. While Apntly could be used to schedule appointments related to physical products (e.g., consultations before a purchase), neither app directly manages the sale or shipment of physical goods.
Does Appointment Booking App Apntly allow integration with social media platforms for booking?
