Appointment Booking App Propel vs Digitally ‑ Digital Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Appointment Booking App Propel and Digitally ‑ Digital Products, while sharing the 'Digital products' category, cater to drastically different needs. It aims to help merchants sell more bookings, stay organized, and minimize no-shows. Digitally, on the other hand, is designed to streamline the sale and secure delivery of digital products like ebooks, PDFs, and license keys. Our Verdict
For merchants selling services, offering classes, or managing events that require scheduling, Appointment Booking App Propel is the clear choice. Its scheduling features, calendar integrations, and communication tools are specifically designed for this purpose. The higher rating and significantly more reviews also suggest broader satisfaction within its target user base.
However, for businesses focused on selling digital products like ebooks, software licenses, or digital art, Digitally ‑ Digital Products provides a more suitable solution. Its features related to file security, license management, and automated delivery are critical for protecting and distributing digital assets effectively. While it has fewer reviews, its specialized functionality justifies its existence for this specific market.
Common Questions
Which app is better for selling online courses?
Appointment Booking App Propel is better suited for selling online courses due to its group appointment feature, scheduling capabilities, and integration with Zoom. Digitally lacks the features needed to manage course schedules and attendee lists.
Can I use either app to sell both appointments and ebooks?
While technically possible to 'hack' either app to somewhat accommodate the other's functionality, it's highly recommended to choose the app that aligns with the *primary* product you're selling. Using Propel for ebooks will lack security and delivery automation; using Digitally for appointments will lack scheduling features.
Which app offers better integration with marketing tools?
The descriptions don't explicitly state integration with other marketing tools beyond Zoom and Google Calendar for Propel. Digitally mentions customizable emails which implies some marketing capability. More research may be needed to determine which offers superior marketing integrations in 2026.
Is one app easier to set up than the other?
Propel claims to transform any product into a bookable service in under 1 minute, suggesting a potentially quicker initial setup. However, the complexity of your specific booking requirements will impact the overall setup time for both apps.
Which app provides more comprehensive analytics?
Digitally explicitly mentions 'Track licenses & analytics to optimize sales,' suggesting more robust sales and license tracking features than Propel, which primarily focuses on booking data.
