AppOkart‑ Mobile App Builder vs Makappi ‑ Mobile App Builderfor Shopify (2026)
AppOkart and Makappi both position themselves as no-code mobile app builders for Shopify stores, enabling merchants to create native Android and iOS apps without hiring developers. Both apps boast 5/5 ratings, but AppOkart has significantly more reviews (31) compared to Makappi (4), suggesting greater market adoption and user experience data. A key similarity is their drag-and-drop interfaces for easy app customization and one-click checkout, promising improved customer experience and sales conversion. However, they differ in their emphasized features. AppOkart highlights abandoned cart push notifications and advanced analytics, appealing to merchants focused on conversion rate optimization and data-driven decisions. Makappi, on the other hand, emphasizes unlimited free push notifications and a marketing automation solution for retention, suggesting a focus on customer loyalty and engagement. AppOkart seems to target merchants who want a solid, well-reviewed app builder with established features for conversion and data analysis. Makappi, with its marketing automation features, appears tailored towards businesses prioritizing customer retention and engagement through push notifications, even with fewer overall reviews. Both apps simplify the mobile app development process, but their distinct feature sets cater to different merchant priorities. Both highlight real-time previews for design changes, assuring merchants of immediate feedback during the creation process. A primary differentiating factor is AppOkart's emphasis on detailed analytics. While Makappi highlights marketing automation, AppOkart focuses on empowering merchants with insights into app performance. This difference may heavily influence a merchant's decision based on their existing analytics and marketing strategy.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on data analytics to optimize their sales funnel, AppOkart presents a more compelling option due to its 'Advanced Analytics' feature and a more substantial user base reflected in the higher number of reviews. The abandoned cart push notifications are also a direct revenue driver. On the other hand, Makappi is a better choice for businesses prioritizing customer loyalty and actively seeking ways to improve retention through marketing automation and unlimited push notifications. Apple Pay one-click checkout could be decisive for stores with a strong iOS customer base.
While both apps offer similar core functionalities like drag-and-drop interfaces and no-code app building, the strategic importance of detailed analytics versus marketing automation is the deciding factor. If a merchant already has strong customer retention strategies in place, AppOkart might be the more logical choice, while Makappi caters to stores needing to build and enhance customer loyalty.
