AppOkart‑ Mobile App Builder vs SocialSender Facebook DMsfor Shopify (2026)
AppOkart‑ Mobile App Builder and SocialSender Facebook DMs are two Shopify apps targeting very different aspects of e-commerce. AppOkart focuses on creating native mobile apps for Shopify stores, allowing merchants to provide a mobile-first shopping experience to their customers without coding. Its strength lies in its no-code, drag-and-drop interface and features like push notifications and advanced analytics to improve user engagement and drive sales. In contrast, SocialSender is focused on leveraging Facebook and Instagram Direct Messages for marketing, enabling merchants to build subscriber lists and send promotional offers directly to their followers for potentially higher engagement than traditional email marketing. While both apps aim to boost sales and customer engagement, their approaches are fundamentally different. AppOkart provides a complete mobile app solution for a shopify merchant who can invest in the time to design their mobile app and market its availability. SocialSender is laser-focused on direct social media engagement, offering an alternative marketing channel. They both use the same Shopify Category: Web Push. The ideal merchant for each app is distinct. Both apps aim to facilitate reaching customers in the moment they're engaging with products or marketing content.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking to provide a dedicated mobile app experience for their customers, AppOkart is the clear choice. Its ease of use and comprehensive feature set make it ideal for creating a professional-looking app without coding. The 5/5 rating and 31 reviews suggest a positive user experience.
On the other hand, if a merchant is looking to tap into the power of social media for direct marketing and is comfortable navigating the compliance aspects of social media messaging, SocialSender may be worth exploring. However, the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating should be a significant consideration and requires very careful testing. While SocialSender might offer a novel approach to marketing, it is difficult to recommend without evidence of efficacy. AppOkart appears to be the more established and reliable option.
