Our Verdict
AppsByB: Backup & Restore is the clear choice for merchants prioritizing data security, backup automation, and the ability to synchronize data across multiple Shopify stores. Its relatively positive rating and reviews, although limited in quantity, suggest it delivers on its promise. It's essential for any store owner looking to mitigate the risk of data loss or simplify complex multi-store operations.
GiftPort is specifically designed for merchants transitioning their existing gift card programs to Shopify or looking to expand their gift card marketing efforts. Without any ratings or reviews, its effectiveness is unproven. However, if a merchant's primary need is streamlined gift card migration and bulk creation for marketing, and they are comfortable being an early adopter, GiftPort may be a potentially useful tool, warranting a careful trial period.
