AppsByB: Backup & Restore vs StoreScorefor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between AppsByB: Backup & Restore and StoreScore face vastly different options. AppsByB: Backup & Restore positions itself as a reliable data protection and synchronization tool, focused on store backups, data syncing across multiple stores, and product copying. It directly addresses the risk of data loss due to errors or updates, catering to merchants who frequently modify their product catalogs or manage multiple Shopify stores. StoreScore, on the other hand, offers no public rating or reviews at this time, and its primary functionality remains unclear based on the available information. While both apps are categorized under 'Operations - Other,' their apparent functionalities differ significantly. AppsByB solves tangible problems related to data management and cross-store synchronization, while StoreScore's purpose is less defined, making direct comparison challenging. Given the lack of user feedback and functional description for StoreScore, it is difficult to assess its capabilities or target audience. This analysis emphasizes the critical need for data-driven decision-making when selecting Shopify apps. While StoreScore might eventually prove valuable, AppsByB: Backup & Restore has demonstrated utility in protecting and synchronizing store data.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing data security, the ability to restore store content, and streamline operations across multiple Shopify stores in 2026, AppsByB: Backup & Restore is the clear choice. Its documented features and positive initial reviews suggest a functional and valuable tool.
StoreScore, with its lack of ratings, reviews, and detailed functionality, presents a higher risk. Until more information is available, recommending it is not possible. Merchants might consider StoreScore once it has gathered user feedback and clearly defines its unique value proposition, however, in the current state it presents too high a risk of time and resource investment with low returns. Merchants should heavily weigh the risk of potentially investing time in an untested app.
