AppsMav: Social Boost vs SweepPea: Buy‑to‑Enter Sweepsfor Shopify (2026)
AppsMav: Social Boost and SweepPea: Buy‑to‑Enter Sweeps both cater to Shopify merchants looking to leverage giveaways and contests to boost sales. However, they take different approaches. AppsMav focuses on a broader range of contest types and is particularly geared towards seasonal promotions (Halloween, Thanksgiving, BFCM, Christmas). It offers comprehensive features, including lead capture, referral programs, anti-cheat mechanisms, and ready-made templates, making it suitable for merchants seeking an all-in-one marketing solution for boosting engagement and customer acquisition around key shopping events. SweepPea, on the other hand, is specifically designed for 'buy-to-enter' sweepstakes, where customers earn entries for every dollar spent. SweepPea simplifies the process of running legally compliant sweepstakes promotions, focusing on increasing Average Order Value (AOV). Its value proposition centers on automatically managing the legal aspects of sweepstakes, making it an attractive option for merchants wary of legal pitfalls. While AppsMav has a larger user base and wider range of contest types, SweepPea excels in its niche, offering a specialized solution for driving sales through purchase-based sweepstakes and prioritizing legal compliance and ease of setup within that specific domain.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a comprehensive contest and giveaway platform, especially those planning seasonal holiday promotions and looking for tools to capture leads and prevent fraud, AppsMav: Social Boost is the stronger choice. Its broad feature set and established user base (indicated by the higher number of reviews) suggest a more versatile and robust solution.
However, for merchants primarily interested in increasing Average Order Value through 'buy-to-enter' sweepstakes and who highly prioritize legal compliance and ease of setup within that specific sweepstake type, SweepPea: Buy‑to‑Enter Sweeps is the better option. Although it has fewer reviews, its specialized focus and automated legal compliance features make it a compelling solution for merchants wanting to run sweepstakes with minimal legal risk and maximum sales impact from purchase-based entries.
