Appstle℠ Memberships vs Easy Wholesale Lock for B2Bfor Shopify (2026)
Appstle℠ Memberships and Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B, while both categorized under 'Customer loyalty' on Shopify, address distinct needs of e-commerce merchants. Appstle℠ Memberships focuses on building comprehensive membership programs akin to Amazon Prime, offering tiered perks, automated billing, and a customizable member portal. It targets merchants looking to cultivate recurring revenue and enhance customer retention through structured membership benefits. The app promises an intuitive UI, easing the setup and management of membership plans. In contrast, Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B provides access management tools, allowing merchants to restrict content, hide prices, and segment customers based on order history and spending. It's geared towards B2B or wholesale operations needing to control access to specific products, collections, or pages, or retailers offering exclusive content to select customer segments. The app’s strength lies in its flexibility to define granular access rules based on customer attributes and purchase behavior. While both can enhance loyalty, they do so through fundamentally different mechanisms: memberships versus access control.

Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to build a robust, recurring revenue stream with structured membership tiers and perks (like discounts and exclusive content), Appstle℠ Memberships is the clear choice. Its comprehensive features and high rating suggest a user-friendly experience and effective results. However, if the primary goal is to manage access to specific content, products, or pricing for different customer segments, particularly in a B2B or wholesale context, Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B is more suitable. It offers the flexibility to create granular access rules based on customer attributes and behavior, although its lower rating and fewer reviews suggest it may require more configuration or lack the polish of Appstle.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the business model and strategic goals. Appstle℠ Memberships is ideal for creating an Amazon Prime-like experience, while Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B caters to businesses needing to gatekeep specific content and pricing structures.
Common Questions
Which app is better for creating a simple loyalty program?
Neither is perfectly suited for a simple loyalty program. While both reside in the Customer Loyalty category, Appstle℠ Memberships is designed for structured membership programs, while Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B focuses on access control, not general loyalty points or rewards. A dedicated loyalty app is a better choice for simple loyalty programs.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Potentially, but carefully consider whether there will be conflicts in functionality. You could use Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B to gate wholesale content to members created with Appstle℠ Memberships, but it requires careful planning and testing.
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, Appstle℠ Memberships claims to have an intuitive merchant UI, suggesting easier initial setup. However, Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B may offer greater flexibility in the long run, but its lack of an 'easy to use' claim could indicate a steeper learning curve.

The descriptions don't explicitly mention detailed analytics dashboards. Appstle implies some reporting through billing automation and member portal management, but specific analytical features are not detailed. Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B does not mention analytics reporting.
Which app provides better customer support?
Appstle℠ Memberships explicitly mentions a 'merchant success team just minutes away,' suggesting potentially superior and readily available customer support. Easy Wholesale Lock for B2B does not provide explicit information regarding the response time of their customer service team.
