Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on selling subscription products or services and building long-term customer relationships through recurring orders, Appstle℠ Subscriptions App is the clear choice. Its extensive feature set and strong review base make it a reliable solution for managing subscriptions. However, if a merchant's priority is to optimize the checkout process, manage high-risk orders, implement B2B logic, or otherwise fine-tune the checkout experience based on specific conditions, SMART Checkout Rules is the better option. Its focus on checkout customization provides the necessary control and flexibility to streamline the purchasing process.
Essentially, choose Appstle for recurring revenue models and SMART Checkout Rules for checkout optimization. A merchant could theoretically use both if they offer subscriptions *and* need advanced checkout rule customization, but they solve different primary problems.
