Our Verdict
For a Shopify merchant about to launch their store and primarily focused on generating buzz and collecting email leads, appstronaut: ComingSoon Pages is the clear choice. Its specialized features cater precisely to this need, and its simplicity ensures quick setup and deployment.
However, if a merchant already has an established store and is looking to expand their theme's capabilities without coding, Puco Sections: Theme Sections offers a much broader range of options. The vast library of sections and blocks, combined with direct integration into the Theme Editor, provides greater flexibility and customization potential, despite a potentially steeper learning curve due to the sheer volume of options.
Common Questions

appstronaut: ComingSoon Pages is likely easier for beginners due to its focused functionality and drag-and-drop interface. Puco Sections offers more features but may require more exploration to understand fully.
Which app is better for long-term store growth?
Puco Sections: Theme Sections is better suited for long-term store growth as it allows continuous customization and expansion of the storefront, beyond just the initial coming soon phase.
Does appstronaut offer more customization options for the coming soon page design?
The description indicates that appstronaut provides templates and custom background options, but the level of customization compared to Puco Sections' 200+ sections is likely lower. It depends on whether a merchant prioritizes deep coming soon page customization versus wider theme customization.
Is Puco Sections likely to slow down my website?
