For merchants primarily concerned with improving their store's visibility within AI-powered search engines and conversational interfaces, Arc: llms.txt appears to be the more relevant choice. Its one-click generation and automated refresh features simplify the process of creating and maintaining an 'llms.txt' file. However, merchants needing a solution for backing up their store's media assets, migrating to a new store, or duplicating a store setup should opt for Filey. Common Questions
What is an 'llms.txt' file, and why is it important?
An 'llms.txt' file is like a robots.txt and sitemap.xml file for Large Language Models (LLMs). It informs AI models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude about the content and structure of your website, helping them crawl, index, and showcase your products more effectively.

If I already have a sitemap, do I need Arc: llms.txt?
Yes, an llms.txt file is different from a sitemap.xml file. While a sitemap helps search engines understand your website's structure, an llms.txt is specifically designed for AI models and uses a different syntax to provide them with information about your content.

No, Filey doesn't offer scheduled automatic backups. It's a manual export/import tool that allows you to download your files when you need them.
How frequently does Arc: llms.txt refresh the llms.txt file?
The description states that it uses automated refresh, the precise interval is not specified in the provided details. It implies it refreshes to keep up with changes on your site.
