Our Verdict
For merchants focused on future-proofing their SEO and leveraging the emerging power of Large Language Models (LLMs) in search, Arc: llms.txt is the clear choice, despite the lower number of reviews. Its one-click solution and focus on LLM visibility can provide a competitive edge. However, for the majority of Shopify merchants prioritizing overall site performance and traditional SEO, Hextom: Bulk Image Edit & SEO is the more practical and proven option. Its comprehensive image optimization features directly address factors like page speed and search rankings, and its high number of reviews speaks to its reliability and effectiveness.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's specific needs and priorities. A merchant with an already optimized image strategy might find more value in Arc: llms.txt to gain an edge in AI-driven search. A merchant with a large product catalog and unoptimized images would be better served by the breadth and depth of Hextom.
