Our Verdict
Magepow Infinite Scroll, with its positive reviews and clear focus on improving user experience through seamless browsing, is the more reliable choice for merchants looking to enhance their collection page navigation. The positive rating and 22 reviews indicate that it fulfills its promise. ARCS Checkout Control, although potentially useful for enforcing specific checkout rules or notifying customers of important information, lacks validation and has no user feedback. Therefore, unless the merchant has a very specific need for checkout validation and is willing to take a risk on an unproven app, Magepow Infinite Scroll is the better option. However, ARCS Checkout Control might be suitable for Shopify stores operating in highly regulated industries, or if the merchant wants to inform customers about promotions or important store policy updates before purchase.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on their descriptions, Magepow Infinite Scroll likely offers a simpler setup, focusing on enabling infinite scrolling with customizable effects. ARCS Checkout Control probably requires more configuration to define specific validation rules and message triggers.
Which app is better for increasing sales?
Magepow Infinite Scroll is more directly tied to increasing sales by enhancing product discovery and encouraging browsing. ARCS Checkout Control could indirectly increase sales by preventing errors or informing customers, but its primary focus is on checkout control.
Does ARCS Checkout Control slow down the site?
Without reviews or performance data, it's impossible to say definitively. However, complex validation rules could potentially impact page load times. This risk is likely lower if the merchant implements well-optimised configurations.
Is Magepow Infinite Scroll compatible with all Shopify themes?
While not explicitly stated, the app description mentions 'without any coding,' suggesting it aims for broad compatibility. However, it's always recommended to test any app thoroughly on your specific theme before deploying it live.
Which app requires technical skills?
ARCS Checkout Control might require some technical knowledge for creating specific validation rules or crafting custom HTML messages. Magepow Infinite Scroll, based on its description, seems designed to be user-friendly and accessible to merchants without coding skills. The vanilla JavaScript implementation for Magepow Infinite Scroll also suggests a modern approach to performance which could be advantageous.
