Our Verdict
Auto Purchase Orders is the clear choice for merchants needing to automate their purchase order processes, manage vendors, and track inventory. Its 5/5 rating and 28 reviews indicate a well-received and reliable solution. The dropshipping automation and accounting integrations are particularly valuable. ARCS Site Communicator, while potentially useful for customer engagement, lacks any user validation, making it a riskier choice in its current state.
If you are primarily focused on improving customer communication through automated email and SMS and are willing to be an early adopter, ARCS Site Communicator might be worth exploring. However, the lack of reviews should prompt caution and thorough testing. For most Shopify merchants, especially those with inventory and vendor management needs, Auto Purchase Orders offers a more established and feature-rich solution.
Common Questions
Which app is better for dropshippers?
Auto Purchase Orders is significantly better for dropshippers due to its automatic dropship PO generation feature. ARCS Site Communicator doesn't offer any functionality directly related to dropshipping.
Can both apps integrate with my accounting software?
Only Auto Purchase Orders explicitly mentions integration with accounting software (Xero and QuickBooks). ARCS Site Communicator does not offer accounting integrations.
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, ARCS Site Communicator is likely easier to set up since it focuses primarily on creating and scheduling message templates. Auto Purchase Orders involves setting up PO workflows, vendor profiles, and potentially integrating with other platforms, which could be more complex.
Do both apps offer reporting?
