Arty ‑ 3D model viewer vs Rubik Variant Images & Swatchfor Shopify (2026)
Arty ‑ 3D model viewer and Rubik Variant Images & Swatch both aim to enhance the product presentation on a Shopify store, but they cater to vastly different needs. Arty focuses on leveraging cutting-edge 3D and Augmented Reality (AR) technology to provide interactive product experiences. Its strength lies in offering customizable 3D model presentations and AR viewing capabilities to reduce returns and drive up sales by simplifying product visualization. Rubik Variant Images & Swatch, on the other hand, is designed to streamline the display of product variations, especially color and image variants, on product pages. It addresses the challenge of presenting multiple images associated with different product options. The primary difference is the type of visualization enhancement each app offers. Arty offers a modern, interactive 3D/AR viewing experience, while Rubik focuses on improving the display of standard 2D variant images. Arty targets merchants selling products where a 3D visualization adds significant value, such as furniture, electronics, or complexly designed items. Rubik is ideal for merchants selling products with numerous variants and associated images, like clothing, accessories, or home goods, where clear visual representation of each variant is crucial for driving sales and reducing returns. The choice between the two depends heavily on the type of products being sold and the desired level of visual interaction.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Arty ‑ 3D model viewer and Rubik Variant Images & Swatch depends on the specific needs of the Shopify merchant. If the merchant sells products where showcasing a 3D model or offering an AR experience significantly enhances the customer's understanding and appreciation of the product (e.g., furniture, intricate designs), Arty is the better choice. Arty's focus on interactive 3D visualization offers a unique selling proposition.
However, if the merchant's priority is to clearly and efficiently display multiple images associated with different product variants (e.g., clothing colors, sizes), Rubik Variant Images & Swatch is the more suitable option. The higher number of reviews and the focus on streamlining the variant image display make it a strong choice for merchants prioritizing a clean and user-friendly presentation of product variations. Note that the low review count of Arty may suggest that the app is new or has a niche audience. More reviews are needed to solidify a strong conclusion.
