Ask to Buy create & share cart vs BLOY Rewards Program & Loyaltyfor Shopify (2026)
Ask to Buy create & share cart and BLOY Rewards Program & Loyalty, while both touching the broader theme of customer experience, address fundamentally different aspects of it. Ask to Buy focuses on simplifying the initial purchase process, particularly for situations involving shared purchasing power (e.g., teens asking parents to pay) or gift registries. It allows users to create and share pre-filled carts, streamlining checkout and reducing friction. This app targets merchants who want to make purchasing easier for specific demographics or scenarios, or for sales teams managing customer orders. BLOY, on the other hand, concentrates on fostering long-term customer loyalty through a comprehensive rewards program. It enables merchants to build points-based systems, VIP tiers, and referral programs to encourage repeat purchases and increase customer lifetime value. BLOYS's strength lies in its ability to create a structured loyalty ecosystem, motivating customers to engage with the store over the long haul. It's well-suited for merchants seeking to boost customer retention and drive repeat business. Ask to Buy's strength is in simplifying purchasing where payment isn't direct, such as for group purchasing or customer service representative facilitated transactions. The low review count for Ask to Buy means its feedback data is less statistically significant than BLOYS, and the type of business that can benefit from either app is quite different.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with increasing customer retention and building a loyal customer base through rewards and VIP programs, BLOY Rewards Program & Loyalty is the clear choice. Its robust feature set and high rating, supported by a substantial number of reviews, indicate a well-established and effective solution. BLOY is also likely a better choice if you need 24/7 support.
However, if the primary goal is to simplify purchasing for specific customer segments (teens, gift recipients) or enable sales teams to facilitate customer orders, Ask to Buy create & share cart offers a more targeted solution. While it has fewer reviews, its focus on streamlining the cart sharing and checkout process could be invaluable for merchants dealing with these specific scenarios. However, consider the low review count carefully as it might not be as reliable a solution.
