AskDolphin: Live Chat & AI vs Complaint Gurufor Shopify (2026)
AskDolphin: Live Chat & AI and Complaint Guru offer distinct approaches to customer support on Shopify. AskDolphin positions itself as a comprehensive customer service platform, encompassing live chat, AI-powered support, product-linked QR codes, and team management features. It aims to provide proactive and automated assistance, particularly for merchants seeking to offer 24/7 support across multiple channels. Complaint Guru, on the other hand, focuses specifically on complaint management, offering a dedicated page for customers to submit and track issues. It's targeted at merchants who prioritize efficient issue resolution and transparency in handling customer grievances. The key difference lies in their scope. AskDolphin aims to be a full-fledged support solution, handling various customer inquiries, while Complaint Guru is a more specialized tool focusing exclusively on complaint handling. AskDolphin leverages AI and multi-channel support, whereas Complaint Guru provides a structured system for managing negative feedback. The ideal choice depends on whether a merchant needs a broad support system or a focused complaint resolution tool. However, note that the lack of ratings and reviews for AskDolphin makes it difficult to confidently assess its actual capabilities compared to Complaint Guru.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing a complete customer support solution with live chat, AI assistance, and team management, AskDolphin: Live Chat & AI appears to be the more comprehensive option. However, the complete lack of reviews should be a significant red flag, requiring a thorough trial and investigation before commitment. If the primary need is to efficiently manage and resolve customer complaints with a dedicated system for tracking and updates, Complaint Guru is the more suitable choice, particularly given its positive (though limited) review rating.
Ultimately, the decision hinges on the specific needs of the business and the risk tolerance towards trying a new, unproven app. If managing negative feedback effectively is a top priority and there is budget for only one, Complaint Guru may be the safer bet due to existing, positive feedback. If all-encompassing support is paramount, a merchant might consider carefully testing AskDolphin, comparing it with alternatives, and prioritizing other highly rated live-chat and AI solutions that may more effectively address customer support issues.
