Our Verdict
Choosing between ASP‑Automate Shipping Profiles and Mixtable XLS/CSV Exporter depends entirely on a merchant's specific needs. If the pain point is managing complex shipping scenarios – like varied product dimensions requiring unique rates or location-based pricing – then ASP‑Automate Shipping Profiles is likely the better choice. The perfect score and reviews provide a signal that it may be effective for users and a trustworthy app.
However, if the need centers around data reporting, analysis, and extracting Shopify data into a usable format like Excel or CSV for external analysis or sharing, Mixtable XLS/CSV Exporter is more appropriate. Although Mixtable has no ratings or reviews, its headline and description point to powerful, advanced data capabilities. Common Questions
Does ASP‑Automate Shipping Profiles offer reporting features like Mixtable?
Based on the available information, ASP‑Automate Shipping Profiles focuses primarily on shipping profile automation, not comprehensive data reporting and analysis like Mixtable aims to provide.
Is Mixtable a suitable replacement for the standard Shopify reporting dashboard?
Mixtable appears to supplement, not replace, the Shopify reporting dashboard. It provides a more flexible and customizable way to access, manipulate, and export Shopify data, which the standard dashboard doesn't offer.
If I need to quickly export product information to a CSV, which app is better?
Mixtable explicitly states it can export worksheets to CSV with a single click. ASP does not include data export capabilities in its current description.
Both apps are listed under 'bulk editor'. What does that mean in practice?
In this context, 'bulk editor' suggests that both apps allow you to make changes to data on a large scale. ASP allows you to manage shipping settings for many products at once, and Mixtable enables users to export and edit huge quantities of store data. However, they approach 'bulk editing' from very different perspectives, shipping automation versus excel integration.
How reliable can I assume the apps are given the available data?
ASP has a perfect rating and some reviews, suggesting that it is reliable for users. Mixtable has no rating or reviews, making it difficult to judge how reliable it is. However, given the value of its claimed features, it is worth a try at the beginning, especially given its potential integrations with data and excel.
