Astra Bulk Product/Price Edit vs WBL ‑ Time Based Discountsfor Shopify (2026)
Astra Bulk Product/Price Edit and WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts both target Shopify merchants seeking to optimize their pricing strategies, but their approaches and feature sets diverge significantly. Astra aims to be a comprehensive bulk editor, enabling merchants to manage various product attributes, including pricing, inventory, SEO, and more, across their entire catalog. Its strength lies in its powerful bulk editing capabilities, AI assistance for content rewriting, and scheduling options for price changes and reverts. In contrast, WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts focuses specifically on implementing time-sensitive discounts, although it currently lacks user reviews and detailed feature descriptions. Based solely on the available data, Astra appears to be geared towards merchants with extensive product catalogs who need robust tools for efficient product management and bulk updates. It offers a broad range of features beyond just pricing, making it a versatile solution for streamlining operations. WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts, on the other hand, is likely aimed at merchants who prioritize time-based promotions, but its lack of reviews and feature details makes it difficult to assess its true potential and suitability for specific use cases. Its current lack of reviews is a significant disadvantage when directly comparing it to Astra.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive solution for managing and updating their product catalogs in bulk, Astra Bulk Product/Price Edit appears to be the stronger option. Its higher rating, positive reviews, and detailed feature set indicate a well-developed and user-friendly app. The inclusion of AI assistance for content rewriting and scheduling options further enhances its value proposition for merchants aiming to optimize their product listings and pricing strategies.
WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts may be suitable for merchants solely focused on implementing time-limited promotions, but its lack of reviews and detailed feature information makes it difficult to recommend without further investigation. Merchants should proceed with caution and carefully evaluate its capabilities before committing to its use, especially when compared to the proven functionality of Astra.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a beginner Shopify merchant?
Based on the limited data, Astra is more likely to be user-friendly due to its existing positive reviews, suggesting an intuitive interface. WBL has no reviews, making it impossible to assess its ease of use.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Potentially, but it depends on the specific implementation of WBL's time-based discounts. If WBL modifies product prices directly, it could conflict with Astra's bulk editing features. Testing in a staging environment is recommended.
Which app offers better support for importing and exporting product data?
Astra explicitly states CSV import/export capabilities, including scheduling and recurring options via FTP/SFTP. WBL does not mention any import/export functionality.
Does either app offer advanced segmentation for applying discounts?
Astra allows filtering by collection, tags, and price, which could be used for segmenting products before applying bulk edits, which may then be used to create promotions with other Shopify apps. WBL's segmentation capabilities are unknown.
Which app has better long-term scalability for a growing Shopify store?
Astra's bulk editing capabilities and AI assistance make it a better choice for stores with large and growing product catalogs. WBL's long-term scalability depends on its ability to handle increasing complexity in pricing strategies, which cannot be determined from the given information.
