ASUKA 不正決済対策 vs OTP ‑ CoD Order Verificationfor Shopify (2026)
ASUKA 不正決済対策 and OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification address fraud, but they do so in fundamentally different ways. ASUKA focuses on comprehensive fraud detection across all payment methods, leveraging a vast database and expert rule tuning to identify and prevent fraudulent orders *before* they are processed. It aims to protect against various fraudulent activities such as payment fraud, bot attacks, and identity theft. In contrast, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification specifically targets Cash on Delivery (CoD) fraud by verifying orders *before* fulfillment using OTP (One-Time Password) verification via WhatsApp, SMS, or Email. It's primarily concerned with reducing fake CoD orders and Return-to-Origin (RTO) rates, ensuring that orders placed are legitimate. The critical distinction lies in their scope. ASUKA provides a broad fraud prevention solution, potentially suitable for merchants handling significant transaction volume and a variety of payment methods. OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification is a more targeted solution tailored for merchants who heavily rely on Cash on Delivery and experience high rates of fraudulent or unsubstantiated CoD orders. ASUKA promises expert configuration and a dedicated support team, whereas OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification focuses on easy setup with built-in Shopify OTP verification. The choice between the two depends on the specific fraud challenges a merchant faces.

Our Verdict
For merchants experiencing a wide range of fraudulent activities across multiple payment methods and requiring a comprehensive solution, ASUKA 不正決済対策, despite its lack of reviews, *could* be the better choice, assuming they are willing to work closely with ASUKA's support team for configuration. However, the lack of reviews presents a significant risk. For merchants primarily concerned with fraudulent Cash on Delivery orders and high RTO rates, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification is the clear winner. Its ease of use, focus on CoD verification, and positive user reviews make it a low-risk, high-reward solution for this specific problem. Given the absence of reviews for ASUKA, it's difficult to recommend it unless merchants are comfortable being early adopters and carefully evaluate its performance.
Common Questions
What type of fraud does ASUKA prevent that OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification doesn't?
ASUKA aims to prevent various fraud types, including credit card fraud, account takeover, and bot attacks, which are beyond the scope of OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification's focus on Cash on Delivery orders.
Is ASUKA easier to set up than OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification?
Based on the descriptions, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification is likely easier to set up. ASUKA requires expert configuration and rule tuning by their support team, while OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification boasts fast and frictionless setup with built-in Shopify OTP verification.
Does ASUKA work worldwide?
While ASUKA's listing language is Japanese, it supports various payment methods, hinting at potential global use. Verify supported regions with ASUKA directly for confirmation.
What happens if a customer fails the OTP verification in OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification?
If a customer fails the OTP verification, the order is typically cancelled, preventing the merchant from fulfilling a potentially fraudulent order.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but it might be redundant. Using OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification to verify CoD orders *after* ASUKA has already flagged and potentially cancelled high-risk orders might not be necessary. Merchants need to assess their overlap and whether the combined cost justifies the benefit. Using only one may be best.
