Atelier | Private Sales vs MX Sticky Add to Cartfor Shopify (2026)
Atelier | Private Sales and MX Sticky Add to Cart are two Shopify apps that address different aspects of improving the online shopping experience. Atelier focuses on creating exclusive and controlled sales events, appealing to merchants who want to reward VIP customers or run limited-time promotions with controlled access. MX Sticky Add to Cart, on the other hand, aims to improve conversion rates by making the 'Add to Cart' and 'Buy Now' buttons consistently visible, especially on mobile devices. While both aim to boost sales, their strategies and target users differ considerably. Atelier offers features like password protection and email whitelisting, while MX Sticky Add to Cart is centered around optimizing the product page user interface. The key distinction lies in their purpose. Atelier is for building exclusivity and targeted promotions, while MX Sticky Add to Cart is for general conversion optimization. Atelier requires potentially more setup to configure private sales, while MX Sticky Add to Cart emphasizes ease of use with its theme editor integration. Therefore, selecting the right app depends heavily on the merchant's business goals: running exclusive sales or improving the overall shopping experience on product pages. The current rating disparity also presents a consideration, although it’s based on limited data.

Our Verdict
For merchants focused on running exclusive sales events, rewarding loyal customers with VIP access, or managing limited product drops, Atelier | Private Sales is the more suitable option. Its features for controlling access and customizing the storefront make it ideal for creating a unique and branded experience. However, the limited number of reviews should be considered.
On the other hand, MX Sticky Add to Cart is better suited for merchants looking to improve their overall conversion rates by optimizing the product page experience. The sticky add to cart bar makes it easier for customers to add products to their cart, especially on mobile devices. This app offers a more general conversion boost rather than targeted exclusivity. While the lack of reviews is a concern, its ease of use and simple setup might make it appealing for merchants looking for a quick win.
Common Questions
Which app is better for running a flash sale?
Atelier is better suited for flash sales if you want to control access, perhaps offering early access to a VIP list. MX Sticky Add to Cart can complement any flash sale strategy by improving the conversion rate on product pages, making it easier for customers to add items to their cart quickly, particularly if used in conjunction with the countdown timer.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to be easy to set up with no coding required. Atelier focuses on admin-managed settings, while MX Sticky Add to Cart integrates directly into the theme editor, suggesting both prioritize user-friendliness. However, without user reviews for MX Sticky Add to Cart, it's hard to confirm which setup process is definitively easier.
Can I use both apps together?
Yes, technically you could use both apps together. Atelier could manage the exclusivity and targeting of a sale, while MX Sticky Add to Cart could ensure that the 'Add to Cart' button is always visible during that sale, optimizing conversions. However, it's important to consider the potential impact on page load speed and user experience.
Which app requires more ongoing maintenance?
Atelier likely requires more ongoing maintenance as it involves creating and managing individual private sales. This includes setting up the storefront, managing access, and monitoring orders. MX Sticky Add to Cart, once configured, should require minimal maintenance unless you want to change the button's appearance or functionality.
Which app is more focused on mobile users?
MX Sticky Add to Cart is particularly beneficial for mobile users, as the sticky bar ensures that the 'Add to Cart' button is always visible, even when scrolling down a long product description. While Atelier can be used for mobile users accessing exclusive sales, its core functionality is not specifically targeted at mobile optimization.
