Atomic POS Variable Price vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
Atomic POS Variable Price and Singleton | Verify Customers, while both categorized under 'Pricing' in the Shopify app store, cater to entirely different merchant needs. Atomic POS Variable Price directly addresses the need for variable pricing at the point of sale (POS), targeting merchants who sell custom or variable-priced products such as apparel, jewelry, or floral arrangements. Its strength lies in its seamless integration with Shopify POS, automatic inventory adjustments, and comprehensive reporting capabilities. It empowers merchants to accurately track sales and inventory for variable-priced items without resorting to manual custom sales entries. Singleton | Verify Customers, on the other hand, focuses on customer access control and verification. It's designed for merchants who require stringent control over who can view prices and make purchases. This app is particularly useful for businesses with wholesale divisions, membership-based services, or those selling products with limited availability or specific regulatory requirements. It allows merchants to create custom registration forms, approve or decline customer access, and hide pricing and add-to-cart buttons from unauthorized users. Its strength lies in its customizability and granular control over customer access and visibility. The key difference is that Atomic POS addresses variable *product pricing* within the Shopify POS system, whereas Singleton focuses on *customer pricing access control*. One changes the *price* of an item on sale, the other controls who *sees* a price to begin with.
