Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction vs Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2Bfor Shopify (2026)
Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction and Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B are both Shopify apps operating within the 'Pricing' category, but they cater to drastically different merchant needs. Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction aims to enhance customer engagement and drive real-time sales through interactive live auctions. Its focus is on creating an exciting shopping experience by leveraging live streaming, real-time bidding, and customizable event features. In contrast, Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B is designed to streamline pricing transparency for businesses serving both B2B and B2C customers, specifically focusing on VAT inclusion and exclusion presentation. It targets operational efficiency and accurate price displays to avoid customer confusion. The primary divergence lies in their core functionalities and target audiences. Auctioneers Plus targets merchants looking to create a dynamic, engaging sales channel, potentially for unique or high-value products where real-time bidding can drive up prices. It appears more geared towards creating a marketing spectacle as well as a sales channel. Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B, however, is a compliance and operational tool. It focuses on providing price transparency and tax accuracy, which is essential for merchants operating in regions with complex VAT regulations and those serving both B2B and B2C clientele. While both have perfect ratings, the significant disparity in review counts indicates that Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B likely has a larger user base and more real-world validation as of 2026.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing customer engagement, real-time sales events, and interactive experiences, Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction would be the better choice, despite its very low number of reviews. However, merchants must consider that the low review count could indicate risks. If transparency in VAT pricing for both B2B and B2C customers is paramount, then Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B is the clear winner, given its focus on VAT compliance and higher number of reviews indicating trustworthiness.
It's crucial to acknowledge the significant disparity in review counts. While both apps have a 5-star rating, the limited reviews for Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction suggest that merchants should proceed with caution and potentially explore alternatives with more established user feedback, unless the specific feature set is absolutely critical. Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B is the safer option for VAT-related needs given the better evidence of real-world value.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B is likely easier to set up as it focuses on configuring pricing rules, while Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction would require setting up the live event, live stream integration, and other engagement tools.
Can I use both apps together?
It's unlikely that both apps would be useful simultaneously. They solve different problems. Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction focuses on a specific sales event format, while Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B handles general pricing transparency.
What are the risks of choosing Auctioneers Plus given its few reviews?
The risks include potential bugs, lack of support, or instability of the app, as it has not been widely tested by the Shopify merchant community.
How does multi-currency support factor into the decision?
Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction offers multi-currency support, so merchants selling in multiple countries may find it more relevant. Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B doesn't mention multi-currency support directly, implying its primary focus is on VAT within specific regions.
Which app is best for a small business?
It depends entirely on the business model. If the small business uses auctions as a key revenue stream, Auctioneers Plus: Live Auction (with caution) may be useful. If the small business sells to both consumers and other businesses within VAT-regulated regions, Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B will be most applicable.
