Auglio Cosmetics Try‑On vs Collection Sort & Category |KXfor Shopify (2026)
Auglio Cosmetics Try-On and Collection Sort & Category |KX, while both sharing the 'Product display' category on Shopify, serve entirely different purposes and target distinct merchant segments. Auglio focuses on enhancing the customer experience within the beauty and cosmetics niche by offering an augmented reality (AR) virtual try-on feature. This caters to merchants selling makeup who want to increase engagement, reduce returns, and provide customers with a more confident purchase decision. Its core strength lies in its interactive and visually engaging approach, allowing customers to digitally sample products before buying. Collection Sort & Category |KX, on the other hand, is a data-driven merchandising platform powered by AI. Its aim is to automate and optimize product sorting, collection management, and product recommendations, particularly for brands with large catalogs. This app helps merchants personalize the shopping experience, optimize inventory, and increase conversion rates by automatically adapting to regional performance and shopper behavior. Its strength is in streamlining complex merchandising tasks and leveraging AI to improve sales effectiveness. The relatively low number of reviews for Auglio compared to Collection Sort & Category |KX indicates that Auglio is either a new app or caters to a much smaller market segment.

Our Verdict
For merchants operating in the cosmetics or beauty industry and prioritizing an engaging and interactive customer experience, Auglio Cosmetics Try-On is the more suitable choice. Its AR try-on functionality directly addresses the common challenge of customers wanting to 'try before they buy' makeup online. The easy integration and customization further strengthen its appeal for this specific niche.
However, for merchants, especially those in fashion with extensive product catalogs, seeking to automate and optimize their merchandising efforts, Collection Sort & Category |KX offers a more robust solution. Its AI-driven capabilities for collection sorting, product recommendations, and A/B testing provides scalability and personalization that Auglio does not. Collection Sort & Category |KX has significantly more user reviews, suggesting a more mature product with a broader user base.
