Auglio Cosmetics Try‑On vs G: Combined Listings & Variantfor Shopify (2026)
Auglio Cosmetics Try-On and G: Combined Listings & Variant, while both residing within Shopify's 'Custom products' and 'Product variants' categories, cater to vastly different needs. Auglio focuses on enhancing the customer experience within the cosmetics niche by offering a virtual try-on feature using augmented reality. This aims to boost engagement, sales, and customer confidence specifically within the beauty industry. Its strength lies in its innovative AR technology and customization options tailored for cosmetic products. The target audience is clearly beauty-focused e-commerce stores. G: Combined Listings & Variant, on the other hand, targets merchants struggling with Shopify's limitations on product variants, aiming to simplify product management and enhance the shopping experience through combined listings, color swatches, and automated product grouping. Its key strength lies in its ability to handle large inventories and bypass Shopify's variant limits. The primary difference is their target audience and core functionality. Auglio is for cosmetic stores wanting immersive AR experiences, while G: Combined Listings & Variant is a more general solution for any store needing robust variant management and enhanced product grouping. While Auglio aims to improve the buying process with augmented reality, G: Combined Listings aims at efficient backend management of a complex product catalog with many variants. The choice depends on whether you are in the cosmetic business or you have a product catalog with over 100 variants.
