Our Verdict
Choosing between Aurum and CS ‑ Business Email hinges entirely on a merchant's specific needs. Aurum: Instagram Chat Connect is suitable for merchants prioritizing sales through Instagram and seeking to engage customers in real-time conversations. The ease of setup is a major draw for those without technical expertise. However, the lack of reviews is concerning. CS ‑ Business Email is better suited for merchants prioritizing a professional brand image and needing a robust email solution integrated within their Shopify admin panel. While the app has few reviews, the perfect rating suggests positive initial user experiences. If professional email management is a priority, CS ‑ Business Email is the better choice.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Aurum: Instagram Chat Connect claims to have a quick and easy setup with no coding required, making it likely the easier app to configure initially. CS - Business Email integrates seamlessly, but professional email setup, even with 'seamless' integration, can involve DNS record updates and email client configuration.
Which app is better for increasing sales?
Aurum: Instagram Chat Connect directly aims to increase sales by facilitating real-time conversations with customers on Instagram. While professional email from CS - Business Email can contribute to a better brand image and potentially more sales indirectly, Aurum's focus is more direct and immediate.
Which app is better for brand reputation?
CS - Business Email can enhance brand reputation by providing professional email addresses under your own domain. This gives a more credible impression compared to using generic email addresses. While Instagram engagement via Aurum can build a following, it doesn't directly address the reputation aspect of professional email communication.
What are the risks of using Aurum with no reviews?
Using Aurum with no reviews carries the risk of potential bugs, instability, or a lack of ongoing support. Without user feedback, it's difficult to assess the app's reliability and effectiveness. Exercise caution and consider thoroughly testing the app before relying on it heavily.
Are these apps mutually exclusive? Can I use both?
No, these apps are not mutually exclusive and can be used together. One focuses on customer support and sales via Instagram, and the other focuses on providing a professional email solution. A merchant could benefit from both depending on their business needs.
