Aurum: Instagram Chat Connect vs Ringly.io ‑ AI Phone Supportfor Shopify (2026)
Aurum: Instagram Chat Connect and Ringly.io ‑ AI Phone Support both fall under the 'Support - Other' Shopify category, but they cater to vastly different support channels and merchant needs. Aurum focuses on leveraging Instagram for direct customer engagement and sales, promising a simple way to integrate an Instagram chat button for real-time conversations. Its target audience appears to be smaller merchants looking for an easy and accessible way to connect with customers through social media to drive sales. Ringly.io, on the other hand, is a sophisticated AI-powered phone support system designed to automate customer service interactions related to order tracking, returns, and FAQs. It's specifically built for larger Shopify stores experiencing high call volumes (1,000+ monthly calls) and requires minimal setup. Ringly aims to significantly reduce support workload by automating responses and escalating complex issues to human agents. The key differentiating factor is the channel - social media chat versus AI-driven phone support, which dictates very different operational requirements and customer engagement strategies. The lack of reviews for Aurum and the single 5-star review for Ringly make it difficult to gauge their real-world performance. The perceived value proposition also differ greatly; Aurum offers better customer engagement whereas Ringly provides automated scalable phone support.

Our Verdict
Aurum: Instagram Chat Connect is a better choice for smaller Shopify stores that are actively building a community on Instagram and looking to leverage that platform for sales. The ease of setup and focus on direct customer interaction are well-suited for businesses where personalized service is key. However, the lack of reviews makes its reliability uncertain.
Ringly.io ‑ AI Phone Support is undoubtedly better for larger Shopify stores overwhelmed by customer service calls. Its AI-driven automation of order tracking, returns, and FAQs offers significant time and cost savings. While the single review provides limited validation, the focus on scalability and 24/7 availability makes it an ideal solution for businesses with high call volumes.
