Australia Post Collect vs Bird Pickup Delivery Datefor Shopify (2026)
Australia Post Collect and Bird Pickup Delivery Date both address delivery and pickup needs for Shopify merchants, but they cater to very different segments. Australia Post Collect is laser-focused on providing Australia Post's 'Collect' service—allowing customers to pick up parcels from designated post offices and lockers. Our Verdict
For an Australian merchant heavily reliant on Australia Post's eParcel service and specifically wanting to offer the 'Collect' option (pickup at post offices and lockers), Australia Post Collect is the straightforward choice. It’s a simple, focused app tailored to a specific service. However, for merchants needing a more versatile solution that handles various delivery methods (including store pickup and potentially local delivery) with granular scheduling, routing optimization, and notifications, Bird Pickup Delivery Date is the clear winner, despite being more complex to configure. While Australia Post Collect is simpler, its usefulness is limited if the merchant doesn't primarily use or need Australia Post's Collect service.
